Caitlin Cullen is currently a senior at Boston College studying English literature. She always deviated towards writing and reading in her studies believing that literature acts as a testament to history and a voice to its current generation. Her interests lie primarily in travel and cultural writing which peaked early on having grown up in Miami, Florida. The immense diversity and cultural pride prevalent throughout the city created a unique environment of global appreciation. Growing up in a household of Cuban, Spanish, and Irish heritage allowed her to see first hand regional traditions at conflict and in unison with one another. After spending a year in Bilbao, Spain Caitlin’s interests were heightened by further exposure to the distinct lifestyle of the Basque people. With easy accessibility to traveling in Europe she found herself exposed to an array of people and places. Following her graduation in May of 2017 she hopes to pursue a career in journalism and eventually attend law school. While the two careers appear different in nature, they both possess in interest in the human law of life and understanding international law can present a new outlook on the world.
