Ambrey is a student at Boston College rapidly nearing completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Marketing, with a minor in French. Having been born and raised in the small central Massachusetts town of Holden, she didn’t stray too far in coming to BC for college, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
She has spent her time here on the Heights as a member of the editorial board of The Gavel, the progressive online magazine, most recently as Authentic Eagles editor. She’s fostered a passion for service–in true Jesuit style–by participating in two Appa trips, and caught the travel bug during a semester abroad in Paris. This semester, she is excited to be a mentor for sophomore girls through the Thrive program, as well as a leader on a Halftime retreat. Come July, she’ll be venturing into the corporate world as an Allocation Analyst at the TJX Companies, where she interned during summer 2016. Although journalism is not her chosen career path (for now), she is passionate about the field and its importance to society & democracy.
In her (minimal) free time, you can find Ambrey watching Netflix in her Mod, blowing off some steam at the Plex, or enjoying a great cup of coffee in one of Boston’s many cafés.
